Drawings that I have done for Drawing for Animation class, taught by Joe Olson. He's a great teacher. But best of all I just have loads of fun in his class. These are just some of the assignments. Soviet Toy for starters, followed by a exaggerated facial structures of Brad Pitt and some other actress that I don't know, Castle of Ultimate Evil, and my Imaginary Friend.

Fired, but then Hired!
This is rather belayed news, but if anybody doesn't know by now, I got fired from APX a week before school started. I was pretty devastated, and pretty much thought I was screwed financial wise. But, after I moved into my apartment, I literally had two job opportunities leap out at me. Either way, I was going to have a job. Plus, the job I got hired for was an illustration job that pays better then APX did. Which means I wouldn't have to work as much. Which means I can put more thought into school yay! But like I said, old news.

Speed Painting 1
Speed painting, for those who don't know, is a form of digital painting practice in which I have to come up with an image within a set time limit. I usually limit myself to an hour if I want to get anything done. Some people I view on the deviantart website can whip something up in less than 30 minutes. I really envy those guys, and I'm not nearly as awesome as they are - but I'm getting better and that's what matters.
Here, I was trying to see if I could paint trees using the basic principle of shape. If I can, I'll post speed paintings every week, depending on how much time I have.
Done in Photoshop CS2.
My First Blog
So, I'm kind of new to the whole blogging thing. I plan to use this as a promotion for my art, and perhaps talk about it more than I usually do. Knowing my family, they seem to be curious about it and I know that I don't really talk enough - so why not create something a little more personal than my deviantart account?
As for what will be posted here, it'll probably be a variety of sketchbook pages and finished pieces. It'll stem off from there in the future. All in all, who knows what the end result will be? Any who come into this blog are free give critiques and comments, as long as they are actually criticism or comments pertaining to the art and not my personal self. All artwork belongs to me and all it's rights belong to me. If anyone is caught using my artwork, understand that that is art theft and is a form of plagiarism. Know that I will find and report any who use my artwork for their own personal gain. You have been warned.
On a happier note, I hope you guys enjoy what you might see here. Thanks for stopping by.
