J.C. Leyendecker: One of the coolest gay guys ever -

I love this guy. Golden age illustrator like Norman Rockwell and stuff like that. I like to practice painting by doing copies of his paintings. You can credit mostly him for this one, but I did some other things differently just so i could get some knowledge out of it then just mindless copying. So, hope you all like.

In other news, this was also a rejected illustration for my work because the current banners I'm working on are very Leyendecker, but this came too close to copy right infringements, and I agree. XD so, nothing like practice.

This picture was done straight into photoshop using the lovely cintiques that BYU has in many of our labs. It was just to pass the time, and there's stuff wrong with it, but when is there not, i guess. I did originally put hair on her, but she looked worse with hair then without. Good news for girls who shave their head. You don't look half bad. Or at least, this chick doesn't. 

Man cintiques rock. 

Painting Fail

It failed and then it didn't. There are so many things wrong with this... I guess that's what you get with practice.

Emerge

Me finally posting something art related on the internet. First time with the new year too. Woo!

Something simple... nothing too fancy. I can't really say if i'm a good painter or not... I've never really had training with it, and since I'm training myself, it's a little hard to judge what is a good part of the painting and what isn't. i'm trying to focus on that this year.
